However just because food tastes good might not always mean it’s necessarily good for you. But don’t worry, you don’t have to sacrifice either to get what you want. Here are a few tips to get you started on eating healthier and tastier food.
- Mix it up and try something new! The next time you are sitting down to eat at your favorite restaurant try a dish on the menu you normally wouldn’t choose. Preferably one that has more vegetables, grains, and or fruits.
- Substitute the fries! We know, we know. It’s so hard to turn down the side of fries, but rest assured, there are so many great alternatives that will satisfy your taste buds and add a little boost of nutrition to your day. Apple slices, a side salad, broccoli, and carrots are all great options.
- Find alternative recipes for some of your favorite meals. Pinterest has some great recipe ideas for those with health-related restrictions and those with picky eaters in your family. Try zucchini tots one time; you and your kids will fall in love. In order to create fun and flavorful meals it will require familiarizing yourself with new foods that work.
